Live Music v1.1 to hit the App Store soon

The first update to Live Music has been submitted to Apple and is expected to be in the App Store sometime next week. I wanted to give everyone a sneak preview of what to expect in version 1.1.

Improvements in the update include:

  • Filter local concerts by the artists in your iPhone’s music library
  • Improved user experience by displaying concerts as they are processed, instead of waiting until all concerts have been processed.
  • Change your search location without having to wait until the current location is finished.
  • Search for local concerts by Artist Name
  • Several infrastructure improvements
  • Several UI Improvements
  • Advertising incorporated to certain views (gotta make a living somehow!)

Between the ability to display concerts as they’re being processed and the ability to change locations in the middle of a data-pull, waiting times are significantly decreased from version 1.0.  Despite how useful as the iPod music sync feature is, I think I’m most proud of this increase in efficiency.

If you have any comments or questions about Live Music and would like some answers, please send me an email or leave a comment here as I obviously can’t reply to reviews in the App Store.   Thanks for reading and I’ll be sure to update the site when Live Music v1.1 hits the App Store.
