Atlanta, GA – January 28, 2010 – iExit, the popular iPhone app that finds your favorite locations at upcoming interstate exits, is about to get even better. AllStays.com, travel website and iExit owner, has announced that a major update to iExit is due to arrive in Apple’s App Store as soon as it makes it through Apple’s approval process.

iExit works by using the iPhone’s GPS device to determine if a user is on the interstate, and if so, what direction. It then allows users to see not only what’s at upcoming exits, but also at what exits the user’s favorite locations can be found. It also allows users to send feedback directly to the developers from within iExit.

“We’ve been getting a lot of feedback from our early adopters and we’ve been listening,” says Adam Longfellow, owner of AllStays.com. “We took the most common complaints and made those our priority for this next update. We think our customers are going to be very happy.”

The features Longfellow is referring to center around knowing exactly where each point of interest is relative to the interstate exit it belongs. iExit 1.0 would only inform users that, for example, a Starbucks exists within one mile of an exit. iExit 1.1 now informs users that the Starbucks is 0.24 miles due north of the exit, and depending on the user’s driving direction, whether it’s left or right off the interstate. To make things even easier, individual points of interest are now plotted on a Google map for easy viewing.

“We’ve worked really hard to build iExit from the user’s perspective,” explains Evan Metrock, president of Metrocket and head developer of iExit. “With version 1.0, before we could directly interact with users, it was on us to figure out what users find most important and how to deliver it to them effectively. Now that iExit is out in the public and users are engaging in its feedback mechanism, we no longer have to guess what users like and dislilke. It’s great.”

iExit version 1.1 is a free upgrade to existing customers. iExit is available for download in the United States App Store for a limited time price of $2.99.
